Cruising Desolation Sound: Episode 4

The fourth episode brings the exciting conclusion to my Cruising Desolation Sound series. In this episode, our little flotilla visits Tribune Bay at Hornby Island before turning toward home.

I really enjoyed shooting and creating this video series showing highlights from an absolutely wonderful trip.  The videos show only a glimpse into the good times with good friends.  I hope you enjoyed following along.

Cruising Desolation Sound: Episode 3

In the third episode of my Cruising Desolation Sound series, we set out to look for a new anchorage and make some friends along the way.  We live the “resort life” at Gorge Harbour for a day before returning to anchor at Tenados Bay.  As the trip begins to wind down, we start toward home…  I hope you’ve enjoyed these videos – stay tuned as Episode 4 is just around the corner!

Cruising Desolation Sound: Episode 1

I’ve just returned from a wonderful trip cruising to Desolation Sound.  We were blessed with great weather – although a little smoky at the beginning, due to the wildfires in the BC Interior.

My cameras captured parts of the journey, and I’m excited to present the first episode of the multi-part series.  “Stay tuned” for next video in the series to follow along with the fun!

I hope you enjoy this video and the others that will follow in the series, as I continue to learn more about shooting, editing, and storytelling through video.

Summer Cruising: Octopus Islands

For the second video in my summer cruising series, we visit Octopus Islands Marine Provincial Park in British Columbia’s Discovery Islands.  Not necessarily an easy place to reach, requiring transit of at least one set of rapids coming or going, Octopus Islands offers a unique landscape and quiet, yet popular anchorages.

Check out the video below for a quick look at our visit to Octopus Islands!
