Cruising Desolation Sound: Episode 4

The fourth episode brings the exciting conclusion to my Cruising Desolation Sound series. In this episode, our little flotilla visits Tribune Bay at Hornby Island before turning toward home.

I really enjoyed shooting and creating this video series showing highlights from an absolutely wonderful trip.  The videos show only a glimpse into the good times with good friends.  I hope you enjoyed following along.

Cruising Desolation Sound: Episode 3

In the third episode of my Cruising Desolation Sound series, we set out to look for a new anchorage and make some friends along the way.  We live the “resort life” at Gorge Harbour for a day before returning to anchor at Tenados Bay.  As the trip begins to wind down, we start toward home…  I hope you’ve enjoyed these videos – stay tuned as Episode 4 is just around the corner!

Cruising Desolation Sound: Episode 1

I’ve just returned from a wonderful trip cruising to Desolation Sound.  We were blessed with great weather – although a little smoky at the beginning, due to the wildfires in the BC Interior.

My cameras captured parts of the journey, and I’m excited to present the first episode of the multi-part series.  “Stay tuned” for next video in the series to follow along with the fun!

I hope you enjoy this video and the others that will follow in the series, as I continue to learn more about shooting, editing, and storytelling through video.

Summer Cruising: Pendrell Sound

I realize after preparing to flip another page on the calendar in not too many days, that I am behind in updating my cruising blog for this summer’s adventures.  As usual, summer passed like a flash, leaving behind great memories and experiences.

I am thrilled to have been able to enjoy several weeks cruising this summer in Desolation Sound, the Discovery Islands, and the Canadian Gulf Islands.  I’ve decided rather than bore you with my daily cruising log, I’ll share some of the highlights and use video to help tell the story.

If you’ve read my blog in the past months, you may recall I launched a YouTube Channel in the spring.  I’ve really enjoyed the process of shooting and editing the videos, and learn more and more with each and every one.

The first video in this summer’s cruising series is one I created from an August visit to Pendrell Sound in Desolation Sound.  It’s truly an amazing place, and probably my favorite anchorage in Desolation Sound.  There’s just something magical about swimming in warm water below towering snow-capped peaks.  Rather than go on and on, I’ll let the video take it from here:

Thanks for watching.  If you enjoy my videos, feel free to subscribe to my channel.  “Stay tuned” for the next installments in my summer cruising series!
