Cap Sante to Hunter Bay (Lopez Island)

Moorage: Anchored

HunterBayis a family favorite. I’ve been coming here with my family for as long as I can remember. This trip, I cruised along with my parents on their new to them 25 ft Maxum. We were excited to have my nephew, Ben, who was visiting from Alaska along for the trip.

Ben is 3 ½ years old, a veteran traveler, and just like the rest of the family- a boat nut.

We anchored and rafted in Hunter Bay, a nice place to drop the hook. Ben and I did some exploring in the dinghy and managed to catch a few crab for dinner.

Our second night, the wind kicked up, but the hook held firm although it wasn’t a very restful night.
