Hi, I’m Steve! I’ve been a life-long boater, and a boat owner for the past twelve years.  I grew up boating in the San Juan Islands, Canadian Gulf Islands, and lakes throughout the Northwest.  Living and working in Anacortes, Washington, the San Juan Islands and the Salish Sea are right in my back yard.

“Jolly Mon” is a 1970 Tollycraft 28 Express Cruiser.  She is a veteran cruiser of the Puget Sound, San Juan Islands, Canadian Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound, and beyond.  Her previous owners kept her in original condition.  As I work to improve and update her systems and accomodations, my goal is to retain her classic, original style and feel.

Jolly Mon is powered by her original Chrysler Marine 318 engines and Borg-Warner Velvet Drive transmissions.  She cruises comfortably and relatively economically around 18 knots at 2500-2700 rpms.  At that speed setting, she is capable of ten gallon per hour fuel consumption.  Slow her down and cruise at 7 or so knots for a more laid back pace, which is what I have enjoyed the past few seasons.
